simPRO Software international push gets major boost

connect_v3-400The international expansion plans of Queensland-based simPRO Software have received a major boost after the company was accepted into a program designed to help Australian start-ups expand overseas.

elevate61  is a unique program designed to enable high performing Australian businesses to fast track their growth into the United States and beyond.

The program has been designed for post-seed funded, technology enabled, enterprise start-ups who are currently experiencing or preparing for rapid growth in Australia and are ready to expand to the US.

Participants will be given facilitated access to an established network of successful Australian and US-based entrepreneurs, investors, mentors and global corporations.

simPRO Software CEO Brad Couper said the program would be a valuable addition to the company’s existing international expansion plans.

“The program will give us a great boost in terms of creating more contacts in the US, understanding the market there and understanding how to best position ourselves,” he said. “The mentoring aspect will be invaluable in helping us transition from a great Australian company into a global leader in our field.

“The third major plank of the program is helping us get investor ready. We are on a pathway to be a global leader in workflow optimisation in the field service sector and to accomplish that we will likely require expansion capital. The Elevate61 program will help us prepare for that event as to date we have grown out of reinvested profits.”

simPRO was established in 2002 and provides a range of cloud-based job management software solutions for the services and contracting sector. Clients range from small contracting businesses to mid-sized businesses through to large enterprises with thousands of staff.

The company has nearly 100 staff, more than 1,500 clients and more than 20,000 users. The elevate61 program includes:

  • three days of intensive workshops
  • one-on-one sessions with subject matter experts from KPMG Australia and US-based Advance mentors
  • speed dating sessions with selected corporations
  • 10 days in the US
  • national investor roadshow in Australia

The elevate61 entrepreneur program is a partnership between KPMG Australia and not-for-profit global organisation Advance.
